Bay of Islands Lodge, located a few minutes drive from Paihia and a short ferry ride to historic Russell, offers luxurious accommodation in a setting of native bush and uninterrupted views over the bay to Moturoa Island and beyond.

A two storey, cedar clad lodge, it has four, spacious, ensuite, double bedrooms, each with their own balcony from which to enjoy the spectacular sea views.

In order to maximise the panoramic views, the lodge features floor-to-ceiling windows, large decks, and an expansive, open-plan lounge and dining area. Utilising native and imported timbers, the design is contemporary throughout with a colour scheme based on natural and earthy tones.

A feature of the property is the infinity lap pool which is located on the same floor as the bedrooms and faces towards the sea. With ample decking on either side, guests may choose to recline on one of the loungers and take in the views or relax with a glass of wine and a good book.

Additional facilities including high-speed Internet access, satellite (Sky) TV, DVD, and stereo. There is also a guest library, guest laundry, and games.

Enjoying good food, wine and company are an integral part of the Bay of Islands Lodge experience. Our cuisine is 'contemporary New Zealand', with inspiration drawn from European and Asian cuisines. Menus feature seasonal dishes utilising only the very best local produce.

The Bay of Islands offers a wide array of activities from game and recreational fishing to sailing, power-boating, kayacking, snorkeling, scuba diving, dolphin watching and parasailing. Alternative activities include walks in the native rainforest and along Paihia's scenic foreshore and 4x4 Dune Riding to Cape Reinga. Golf courses are located at Waitangi, Kerikeri and Kauri Cliffs. Visit the historic site of the signing of Treaty of Waitangi 1840 , and catch a short ferry to New Zealands fist capital, the township of Russell.
