About as far from high-rises, shopping malls and the city's hassles as it's possible to get, this absolute beachfront resort overlooking a gin-coloured lagoon is an oasis of tranquility.

Fafa Island Resort is located on its own exclusive small, palm covered island 7km north of the capital, Nuku'alofa and transport is by a short thirty minute trip by motor sailor. 

The island is guarded by a coral reef ensuring all time safe swimming and snorkelling in crystal clear blue waters. The accommodation on the Resort is like a Polynesian village surrounded by gardens. A maximum of 26 guests stay in traditional Tongan style Fales all facing the beach. The Bungalows are built with natural materials: palm poles, wooden shingles, coconut thatch and palm timber floors. The Deluxe and Superior Fales are just a few steps from the waters edge with unobstructed views of the ocean, each with it's own private beach.

All Fales have a courtyard with semi open bathroom and the shower is in a private flower garden, a covered veranda, spacious bedrooms with king size beds, dressing room, ceiling fan, hammock and beach beds.

Diving and game fishing can be organized with local operators. To protect the coral lagoon, no motorised water sports are allowed.
